Verhofstadt's lie (and Biden, Putin and Parchizadeh)
From Wokeists to Rashists, "fascism" is the imaginary enemy
November 11 is Remembrance Day in the Commonwealth, Veterans Day in the USA and Independence Day in Poland. Every November, Polish people gather in patriotic celebrations unimaginable in Western Europe and North America, where the political and cultural elites frown upon this kind of nationalism.
Nowhere is this more evident than the sneering attitude and lies of Eurocrat Guy Verhofstadt, High Priest of European Federalism, who believes he can lecture countries about how to govern themselves as if his own had any moral high ground. He claimed that Polish patriotic marches were full of “fascists” when none of the sort exist in Poland.
Of course, this in line with British and American progressive thought, which is to call patriots and conservatives “fascists” and imagine a “white supremacist” threat exists around every corner. All of this, of course, is about filling the coffers of lobby groups and NGOs, which is how the SPLC profits handsomely from the defamation of conservatives.
Incidentally, Verhofstadt’s slur against Poland is reminiscent of Vladimir Putin, whose idea that Ukraine and Poland are full of “fascists” is little more than a pretext for genocide. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia and Kazakhstan have also faced similar threats of invasion and genocide from Russian officials.
Wokeists, Communists, anarchists, Islamists and Rashists share a common disdain for national borders, national identity and the nation-state. Therefore their language on the matter is more similar than they would like to admit. This language serves to dehumanise opponents and thus provide the basis for committing unspeakable atrocities which the Russian military have done in Ukraine.
As mentioned in my previous post, the same Wokeist disregard for national identity manifests itself in the attempt to hijack the Iranian national uprising. Most recently, Reza Parchizadeh wrote a libelous article about Iranian monarchist patriots, claiming that they are “anti-Arab” and “anti-Semitic”. Such libel is harmful, and as the SPLC’s smears of conservatives demonstrate, can also lead to violent actions. Speaking of which, Russia isn’t the only government promoting “Nazi” smears, as Azerbaijan does it too.
The need to imagine “fascism” everywhere is a tool of power for elites in the West and in Russia. It may not be so surprising given how many “former” Communists merged into the political elite of the West since 1989, and how the KGB effectively runs Russia today. A similar project has been in the making by the Islamic Republic regime in Iran through its lobbyist arms such as NIAC. Iranians, however, have taken steps to expose and shame them, and ensure that historic mistakes are not repeated.
“Fascism” is not the threat. The threat inflation promoted by liberal elites is the real threat to our freedom.
It's not so long ago that centre-right politics was considered representative of a significant portion of mainstream society. Now anyone with even a notionally right-of-centre political perspective is increasingly being defined as a threat to society, and almost certainly a fascist.
By demonising the right, cultural architects, and the media at large, are grooming the citizens of Western societies to believe that a one party state is the only viable political solution - and people are buying it.
The greatest irony is that the left have the audacity to preach ad nauseam about what a threat the right is to democracy.
Echoes of the prelude to some of the most horrifying moments in political history are ringing ever louder, and yet no one seems to care.
