The day Canada's diversity delusion died
Self-loathing and open door to terrorist sympathisers have finally caused Canada to crack
Canada has long prided itself on “diversity”, “inclusion”, “tolerance” and “multiculturalism” (the word multiculturalism hasn’t been used as much in the past decade or so). However, the perception does not match reality as through immigration and infiltration of Canadian society by foreign extremists, Canada has come under great strain in common with other Anglosphere nations.
We saw over the summer that British and Irish society was liable to explode at some point owing to unsustainable immigration and a censorship regime targeting those with dissenting views. The USA, Canada and Australia are all under increasing social strain resulting from Woke extremism and the acceleration of anti-Western extremism following the October 7 attacks.
No society can expect to host such hostile elements and not lead to a complete breakdown of trust and cohesion. Canadians have long cherished diversity and tolerance so much it was woven into their national identity. But the sight of Canadian flags being burned and chants of “Death to Canada” have proven a turning point, as Canadians are finally at breaking point.
In 2021, Canada went into collective meltdown after claims of mass graves at residential schools led to anti-British, anti-white and anti-Christian hysteria. None of this was organic: Canada’s indigenous industrial complex, like Australia, is a web of activists, NGOs and academics with extensive connections and funding. It is also possible this was part of hybrid warfare by foreign governments.
When Canadians go to the polls, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government is certain to be defeated in a landslide which will be a repudiation of Woke fundamentalism which has been state ideology under his regime. Younger Canadians have increasingly turned to the Conservative Party, because they have woken up to the fact that this regime is not making their lives better, but inordinately worse.
It has often been said that Canada, and the Anglosphere generally, may be beyond saving. But perhaps this is a premature thing to say: Canadians can still save their country. And astonishingly, the conservative movement in Canada is poised to become one of the most successful in the Anglosphere given its string of election wins at provincial level in recent times.
With this, Canadians may not just save their own country, but also the Commonwealth and Western Civilisation as we know it.
