In disinviting King Reza Pahlavi, the MSC proves Vice President Vance right
Iran’s rightful King Reza Pahlavi was disinvited to the Münich Security Conference this weekend, while he is due to address both a human rights summit in Geneva followed by CPAC in Washington DC. His latest European tour comes amidst greater regional uncertainty, and the Islamic Republic regime being in its weakest position.
The Vice-President of the United States, JD Vance, then delivered a stinging speech rebuking Europe’s cowardly liberal elites. And rightly so. Their cowardice (along with that of Canada and Australia’s leaders) has created a catastrophic environment for democracy and free speech in the West while appeasing Islamists.
This comes hot on the heels of revelations about USAID and State Department funding programs which are scandalous - promoting social, economic and cultural disruption and dislocation worldwide. Iranians have also complained about these programs, which invariably favour dubious actors in the Diaspora, tending to be Leftist and anti-monarchist.
Once more, the natural alliance between European, American and Iranian patriots is set to be emphasised once more at CPAC, as it was at NatConTalk last year.
